About James Harrison

James Harrison is the bush-based aerial and rural photographer behind the lens of Shot By Harro.

Located in his beloved hometown of Hay in the western Riverina of New South Wales, James’ work is a celebration of life in rural Australia.

Despite Hay being known for its flat desolate and rugged plains, James’ work shares not only the vast open spaces but the beauty in between.

What started as a hobby has turned into a creative career with James’ work sold across Australia and the world and featured in print and on TV.

James has a degree in engineering from Macquarie University, and when he’s not creating art, he’s a boiler maker in his family’s steel fabrication business. You can also catch him playing in his local Union footy team or skiing the waters of the Murrumbidgee.
